OUTBOARD MOTOR LOCK Review

Installed for one season on the motor for my dinghy.Only used sparingly on weekends and kept covered when not in use.

I went to remove my dinghy for winter storage and the darn lock would not open.Tried WD40 still no go.

Had to resort to a hacksaw and fortunately after about 10 mins of sawing the whole darn thing just fell apart.Amoung the pieces was a small spring and parts to the locking mechanism.

The lock could not even hold up to one season of use!

Emailed the mfg/distributor ... no reply after 3 days.Looks like they don't care.

UPDATE --They Called (took about a week)!Said there was a design change on the lock mechanism and that they would send me a replacement free of charge.

If that fixes things, then this is a pretty nice lock from a functionality standpoint.
