this appears to be a good engine cover.I had thought it would be lined, but it should work fine in any case.
Easy cart to assemble.Took about a 1/2 hour to complete.Directions easy to understand.Will make handling my outboard motor much easier.
The bracket is well built; strong enough to handle my 8 hp 4 stroke and the up and down operation is excellent; done so with ease, no straining.With a motor lock on the motor screw mounts there is limited space between the handle and the lock....otherwise all is good.-Mike
Cart arrived a few days after it was ordered. Assembly took about 1.25 hours and would have been quicker if the directions were better written. The wheels are pneumatic and while they probably roll easier, most of the cheap imported tubeless pneumatic wheels seem to leak after a year or two. I would have preferred solid or semi-pneumatic wheels but otherwise, the cart is what I wanted. I am using the cart to support a Nissan 15 HP electric start 4 cycle long shaft motor and it handles this motor well. I don't think the cart is built heavy enough for a 200 - 300 lb motor. Just my opinion. Overall, the cart is a good value, supports my motor well and makes it much easier to move the motor around and store it off season.
The Outboard stand arrived in good condition due to the excellent packaging. After laying out all the parts to be sure everything was there, I began reading the assembly instructions. As with most instructions written in English by a foreign country, they were not clear and more can be learned by just looking at the picture. Assembly went well except I forgot to put the tank strap on, so had to disassemble part of the cart.
I did not examine the parts carefully when I took them out of the box. There are two main support arms, an upper cross piece and the 'wood' piece that supports the motor.One of the main support arms was either bent or welded incorrectly. I had the whole thing put together and then found there was no way that the motor support would mount using the existing holes. In addition, the carrier was not square. In order for the motor support to fit, I had to remove the upper support arm and cut it shorter. After that I was able to attach the motor support; however the unit is still not square. I am disappointed in this, but it does support the motor properly...................
The Garelick 31600 motor carrier is rated for 130 pounds capacity. I bought it for use with a 74 pound motor, but after putting it together, I have no doubt that it can handle its capacity. It is very sturdy and well designed.
Item was sent in a timely fashion and it was exactly what I wanted.It was 40 dollars cheaper than at the local dealership.Very pleased.Highly recommended.
The description states "Grey, Fits 25 to 50H.P"., and is very accurate.My outboard is a 30hp Honda, and the cover fits like a chief's tent over a cookfire.Fortunately there is plenty of 'cinch it' room to tighten the cover for motoring down the road.I was initially worried about the extra material flappage,but the cover stayed on.It just looks weird.The product seems to be well made.The stitching is clean, the velcro is strong and durable, and the cords are strong and thick enough to not feel flimsy.An okay product for not a lot of dough.
The cover does not fit the Yamaha F40.The cover had the proper part number but was too small to put on my Yamaha F40 outboard motor.The supplier accepted return, but I ended up paying shipping to and from in the amount of 16 dollars.I called Yamaha direct and they verified the part number as being correct.
